Neil Wooding

Dr Neil Wooding is the Chief People Officer for the Ministry of Justice and responsible for a workforce for 78,000 people. As a life-long public servant, he has blended more than 40 year’s experience of working in the voluntary sector with a high profiled career inside the NHS, local, regional and central government. He is committed to social justice, equality and human rights having established the NHS centre of excellence and served for a number of years as an Equality and Human Rights Commissioner. Internationally, he has worked in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Scandinavia to advance public service leadership and strengthen NGO collaboration. His expertise lies in developing collaborative democracy, building participative leadership and delivering transformational change.
