Learning & Evaluation

The Foundation regularly commissions evaluations of both our own work and our major national funding initiatives.

We’re currently funding major external evaluations into HomeShare and the Drive programme, two initiatives that are part of our National Programme.

Supporting Grantees: Enhance programme - published July 2016

We commissioned the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) to undertake an evaluation of the Foundation’s Enhance programme, looking particularly at the experience of charities who participated in the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

This report, Supporting Grantees, looks at the experiences of grantees who took part in capacity building projects and analyses what helps to make these projects work well.

 

Reducing reoffending and promoting rehabilitation - published October 2015

The Centre for Mental Health worked with 13 of the Foundation’s grantees to improve their approach to measuring impact.

This report sets out their findings about how to promote better impact measurement for charities working with people in the criminal justice system with mental health problems.
