Ruth Hunt is an independent non-executive director, Crossbench Peer and adviser with over 20 years’ experience in leadership, governance and organisational decision-making across the public and voluntary sectors.
She spent more than a decade at Stonewall, including five years as Chief Executive, and now works with organisations on leadership, culture and governance in complex environments. In the House of Lords, she contributes to work on equality, rights and public policy, engaging across political lines.
Ruth is interested in how institutions use their power responsibly and how small and local organisations can be supported to thrive. She brings experience of governance, leadership and fair decision-making in high-scrutiny settings.
