André Clarke
Director of Community-Led Change
André has been with the Foundation since July 2023. Having worked across charities, philanthropy and international development for more than 15 years, including at BBC Children in Need, Comic Relief, Bond and Plan International, André has led work spanning funding, learning, organisational development and systems change. He is particularly interested in how communities, charities, funders, researchers, businesses and policymakers can work together to tackle complex challenges and create lasting change. At the heart of his work is a belief that lived experience, local knowledge and professional expertise all have a role to play in shaping a better future.
He is also a trustee of the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) and Chair of the Open and Trusting Grant-making Initiative.
He enjoys outdoor walks, baking, is an avid fan of Great British Bake Off, and is learning how to swim.
