Lloyds Bank Foundation is proud to back the Prime Minister’s ambition to end rough sleeping. A primary goal of the Foundation’s strategy is to ensure that everyone in England and Wales has a good place to live and we are pleased to align with the Prime Minister’s ambitions.
Our Chief Executive, Matt Hyde was one of a number of leaders across business, charities and community organisations attending today’s Rough Sleeping Summit in Downing Street, seeking to ‘mobilise the resources, expertise and commitment needed to deliver lasting change’.
The Foundation has a long history of supporting homelessness. Most recently, in July we opened our largest ever single fund as part of our Good Place to Live: New Beginnings Fund, channeling £8million investment into organisations who work to prevent homelessness at key transition points. This programme will support local organisations who work with some of the groups of people at the highest risk of becoming homeless.
Beyond this, the Foundation’s place-based programme works in partnership with local organisations to support residents, including helping those in crisis and homelessness prevention.
We look forward to working with the government to bring more investment into this area and support the local organisations that help people stay housed and are proud to stand alongside leaders from other foundations, philanthropists, social investors and businesses who have all committed to do the same.
